BULLDOGS INK SEVEN FOR 2013 RECRUITING CLASS

Morgan McCarty, Everett HS

 


Seven high school seniors will begin their collegiate careers representing Bellevue College  next fall. “Each player brings great characteristics to our program,” said Head Coach Kiko Magana. “This is a very exciting time for our program; as these seven individuals will improve our quality of play and not only battle for a division title but for an NWAACC title.”

Morgan McCarty, MF, Legacy FC, Everett, WA

McCarty played all fours years of high school on the varsity team and contributed 26 goals. McCarty helped Everett HS to four straight WesCo titles and two state quarterfinal appearances while being named to the All-WesCo team. McCarty also played an important role for her club team. Competing in college showcases and tournaments around the Pacific Northwest, McCarty experienced great club success. She was a finalist in the Pacific Coast Super Cup and Super League Champions. McCarty captained Legacy FC and played in the US Club National Cup in 2011 and 2012. 

“McCarty will play an important role for us in the midfield,” said Magana. “She has great vision and patience with the ball; we anticipate her to be a big part of our program.”

 

Alyssa Proudfoot, Mount Si HS

 

Alyssa Proudfoot, D/MF, Eastside FC, North Bend, WA

Proudfoot played all four years of high school on the varsity team. She was captain for Mount Si HS and was named All-KingCo 3A and contributed seven goals and six assists as a central defender. Proudfoot played for Cascade FC for six years at P1 before playing for Eastside FC where she participated in the San Diego Albion Cup and many other prestigious showcases and tournaments.

“Proudfoot is a very smart and intelligent player,” said Magana. “She will provide depth in our back line and in the midfield; we look for her to make an immediate impact.”

 

 

 

 

 

 

Reilly Brennan, North Kitsap HS

 

Reilly Brennan, MF/F, Westsound FC, Suquamish, WA

Brennan played all four years of high school on varsity. She was an All-League selection and top scorer helping North Kitsap HS to a league title. Brennan represented Westsound FC, where she competed locally in the Pacific Northwest as well as nationally. Winning league titles and making tournament finals throughout her club career, she participated in The National Cup Finals in Virginia and played in the Cup final.
“Brennan is very attack-minded which makes her a very dangerous player,” said Magana. “She looks to finish anywhere around the box and we look for her to provide attacking flair in the final third.” 

 

 

 

 

 

Jennifer Reitan, Kingston HS

 

Jennifer Reitan, MF, North Kitsap Premier Soccer Cub, Poulsbo, WA

Jennifer was a key part of the success at Kingston HS, contributing to 20 goals her last three years. The high school senior captain was an all-league selection and led the Buccaneers with the most team assists.
“I am very excited to have Reitan join our recruiting class,” said Magana. “She has great vision and can finish well as an outside midfielder; she will play an important role for us in the midfield.”

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Katie Kennedy, Kentridge HS

 

Katie Kennedy, D, Rainier Valley Slammers, Renton, WA
Kennedy helped anchor Kentridge HS, making state playoff appearances during both her junior and senior years. Outside of high school, Kennedy captained her club team, Rainier Valley Slammers competing in leagues and tournaments around the Pacific Northwest.
“Kennedy is a very technical player,” said Magana. “Kennedy is a great defending player who works extremely hard and we look for her to make an instant impact.”

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Brianna Sillivan, North Central HS

 

Brianna Sillivan, MF, Spokane Soccer Club Shadow, Spokane, WA
Sillivan was a four year varsity starter for North Central HS.  She captained North Central during both her senior and junior years and was awarded Defensive MVP, two-time All-Greater Spokane League Honorable mention, Offensive MVP, All-GSL second team and Coaches’ award. Sillivan experienced much club success winning tournaments across the Pacific Northwest. She was a Challenge Cup state champion in 2012 and finished third at regionals. “Sillivan has the ability to control the tempo of the game,” said Magana. “She is a technically sound crafty player and a will play a key part in our midfield.”

 

 

Taylor McCoy, F/D, Crossfire Premier, Everett, WA
“McCoy is a natural leader,” said Magana. “She has great work rate off the ball and the ability to maintain possession and distribute. McCoy is a very strong and technical player. She will provide depth in our attaching positions and look for McCoy to provide attacking flair in the final third.”
