BC WOMEN’S SOCCER TIE TWO
October 28, 2012
Bellevue College women’s soccer team traveled to Tacoma on Wednesday, Oct. 24, to take on West rival TCC Titans. Both teams traded good looks at the goal, but neither was able to get a strong offense going, and the match ended up a 0-0 tie. Freshman Sophie Rockow recorded the shutout for Bellevue.
Three days later the Bulldogs played host to the Highline Thunderbirds at the Sammamish HS field on Saturday, Oct. 27. Going into the game, Highline was in second place in the NWAACC West, leading Bellevue by only one point. Hoping to reverse that position and earn a playoff spot, the Bulldogs played an aggressive match, but once again, were unable to score. Fortunately, they were also able to keep Highline scoreless, and this match also ended in a 0-0 tie, with Rockow getting the BC shutout.
The match with Wenatchee Valley College women which had been rescheduled from September to October 29, was forfeited as WVC could not field a complete team. This leaves only two matches for the Bellevue Bulldogs in the regular season, both away games: Lower Columbia on Oct. 31, then league-leading Peninsula College on Nov. 3.
