The BC women clinched a playoff berth with an impressive win at Lower Colombia on Saturday Oct. 29. The Bulldogs headed to Longview to take on the Red Devils and took control of the game early. Alexis Jones got the Bulldogs on the board in the 13th minute to take the early lead and begin the scoring parade. Gabriella Rodriguez (16th Minute) and Lashonne Wells (47th Minute) added their team leading 7th goals in the match. Grace Hamilton (29th Minute) and Holly Jones (42nd Minute) also capitalized on scoring opportunities as the team cruised to the 6-0 victory. Brianna Jackson earned her 5th shutout of the season.
Prior to Saturday, the squad took on the Tacoma Titans on Wednesday Oct. 26th at Bellevue. The ladies fell behind in the 23rd minute of the game 1-0. Late into the second half when it looked like the Tritons were going to secure the win, Gabriella Rodriguez found the back of the goal scoring the lone goal for the Bulldogs in the 85th minute preventing a loss and earning a 1-1 tie.
The team has clinched the third spot in the West Region with the opportunity to climb into second place where Highline currently sits. The Bulldogs have a great opportunity as they take on Highline on Wed. Nov. 2 @ Sammamish High School with a 6:30 PM start. The games improve Bellevue’s league record to 7-3-4 and 7-5-4 overall.
