Women's Basketball Coaching Staff
Brent Hermanson is entering his fifth year at BC, his fourth as Head Coach, and his thirteenth year as a basketball coach. Coach Hermanson acted as an assistant under Steve Lowe in 2007-08, where he helped coach a Bulldogs team that finished 18-13 overall and qualified for the NWAACC Championship Tournament for the third consecutive year and sixth consectutive for the Bulldogs. In his first three years as Head Coach, Hermanson has a record of 59-30 finishing second in the North Division twice and fourth once. The team went 23-7 with a fifth place finish at the NWAACC Tournament in 2010-2011. Born in Olympia, Brent attended Olympia High School, North Seattle CC and Western Washington University. While at Western he was a member of the rugby team. Brent is also an avid cyclist, enjoys golfing and likes to spend time with his wife, daughter, and son.
Paulette Martin
A well known coaching presence in the area, Paulette Martin was hired as an assistant coach in June of 2007, and was promoted to the position of Associate Head Coach in May of 2008. Coach Martin was an integral part of the coaching staff during the 2007-08 season, where the team finished 18-13 and qualified for a third consecutive NWAACC Tournament. She is familiar with the NWAACC, having served as an assistant coach at Shoreline Community College. A 1990 graduate of Indiana University and Purdue University at Indianapolis (IUPUI), Martin is a member of her alma mater's Athletic Hall of Fame. She ranks in IUPUI's top ten in several statistical categories, including career scoring average, field goals made, field goals attempted, and field goal percentage
Carly Fromdahl Carly Fromdahl is entering her second season as Assistant Coach under Head Coach Hermanson. She will be responsible for developing the post/forward positions and the strength and conditioning program for the team. Prior to joining the Bulldogs staff she was an undergraduate assistant at Seattle University under Coach Dan Kriley. Carly began her basketball career at Don Lugo HS in southern California and learned a lot of her game from former teammate and Mercury Sun guard Diana Taurasi. Fromdahl then received a basketball scholarship to Portland State University and later transferred to Seattle University and graduated as a student-athlete with a BS in Business Marketing. At Portland State University she was a top defender holding a Big Sky Conference top ten ranking in steals and blocked shots. Her favorite part of the game is defense and psychologically shutting down the opponent. She tries to instill the same aggressive mentality to her players and encourages them to work hard for the love of the game.
Angela Jensen is entering her first year as an Assistant Coach at Bellevue College. This is her seventh year of coaching overall. Jensen has assisted at Central Washington University, Yakima Valley Community College and Eisenhower HS in Yakima Washington. From 2008 to 2011, Jensen served as the Head Girls’ Basketball Coach at Cedarcrest HS. Jensen graduated from Sehome HS in Bellingham, WA. She started on varsity from her sophomore to senior year where she averaged 16 points and 7 assists a game. Jensen was a Wesco 3A All Conference Honorable mention as a sophomore, a Second-Team All-Conference selection as a junior and a First-Team Wesco 4A selection as a senior. Her team made three state appearances finishing as high as fifth place. As a senior, she was a Whatcom County All-Area Selection, Seattle Times All-Area selection, was named to the Washington All-State team and played in the All-State 3A/4A All-Star game. She was also selected by the State Coaches Association as one of the top ten seniors in the state of Washington. With this honor, she competed in the prestigious Northwest Shootout against the top 10 seniors in Oregon.
Jodi Cameron is entering her second year as a Volunteer Assistant Coach at Bellevue College. Cameron’s coaching philosophy is centered around modeling and inspiring wholeness to others; and as she motivates with a life giving message, her values of faith, excellence, integrity and health emerge.
