BULLDOGS PLUNDER PIRATES

The Bellevue College women’s basketball team came out shooting on all cylinders when hosting their first home league game against the Peninsula College Pirates on Weds., Jan. 6. Having had a chance to recharge, the Bulldogs hit the boards with high energy and great execution resulting in a final score of 86-47.
Bulldogs’ scoring was led by sophomore guard Alisha Love and freshman Olivia Lewis who each contributed 16 points. Amy Rochowiak and 6-foot sophomore Kayla Haines both nailed 12.
Bellevue College women (2-0, 7-5) next prepare for three games over six days: Weds., Jan. 13, BC plays at home against Olympic College (2-1, 3-4), at 5:30 p.m.; then to Mount Vernon to take on Skagit Valley College (3-0, 9-3) Sat., Jan. 16 at 5:00 p.m., and on Mon., Jan. 18, BC takes on Seattle (1-2, 2-9) on the North Seattle CC campus for a 5:30 p.m. tip-off.
