BULLDOGS MAKE IT FOUR IN A ROW
January 21, 2008

Lyndsee Landon
BCC forward Lyndsee Landon drives for two of her 18 points against Olympic College on January 19. Landon also collected 6 rebounds and 2 steals in the Bulldogs' 68-39 victory over the Rangers.

For the BCC women's basketball team, Saturday's 68-39 over visiting Olympic College win was their fourth consecutive victory, improving BCC's in-conference record to 4-1, and bringin their overall mark above .500 at 9-8.

After the Rangers hit a flurry of long three point shots to tie the game at 16-16 in the first half, the Bulldogs clamped down on defense and asserted their will on the interior, finishing the period on a 21-4 run to take a 37-20 lead into intermission.

BCC leading scorer Marissa Bower, held to just two points in the first half, exploded in the second stanza for 19 points on her way to a game-high 21. Her front court running-mate, Lyndsee Landon, also turned in a nice night, contributing 18 points and 6 rebounds. BCC overwhelmed the Ranges on the glass, out-rebounding their opponents 52-34. The Bulldog defense was also in top shape, holding Olympic's leading scorer, guard Coty Etyl, to just 4 points on 1 for 11 shooting, 16 below her 20 per game average.
