BCC WOMEN WIN THIRD STRAIGHT

Since dropping their opening game of league play, the BCC Women's Basketball team has responded with three consecutive victories, most recently a 65-53 home victory over Shoreline Community College on January 12.

After Bellevue raced ahead 10-1 to start the game, the Dolphins responded with an 11-1 run of their own, claiming a 12-11 lead. From there, the Bulldogs regained control claiming a 31-18 lead going into halftime. The second half was played dead even, as Bellevue succesfully fended off a number of late challenges from the Dolphins, and claimed the win.

Sophomore center Marissa Bower enjoyed a dominant night inside, recording a double-doulbe with 21 points and 12 rebounds. Guard Briana Lewis also had a nice night, coming off the bench to contribute 15 points, 4 rebounds, 4 assists, and 2 blocked shots. Turnovers have plagued BCC much of the year, but against Shoreline the Bulldogs kept their miscues in check, commiting 17 while forcing the Dolphins into 23.
