VOLLEYBALL WINS FOURTH CONSECUTIVE MATCH

The Bulldog Volleyball team stretched their winning streak to four games and kept pace with first place Whatcom with a pair of victories.  On October 19 the team traveled to Shoreline to take on the Shoreline Community College Dolphins.  Bellevue dominated from start to finish, dropping the Shoreline in three games 30-18, 30-16, 30-18.

Up next, the team traveled to Everett Community College on October 24, and once again made short work of their opponent, defeating the Trojans 30-12, 30-16, 30-18.  Freshman Briana Mercado (Eastlake HS) made the most of her first significant playing time of the season, leading the team with 14 kills while contributing 3 blocks and 4 aces.  Sharon Kelley (FR, Edmonds-Woodway HS) recorded 37 assists, Amanda Crank (SO, Issaquah HS) added 13 digs, and Jessica DuBois served up 14 aces in leading the Bulldogs to victory.

Up next, Bellevue heads to Gresham, Oregon to participate in the Dorian Harris Tournament at Mt. Hood Community College on October 26, before returning to league play with a home match against rival Edmonds Community College on October 31 at 7:00pm.
