FOUR YEARS AND COUNTING: TENNIS CONTINUES WIN EPIC STREAK
The BCC Women's Tennis team continued their unprecedented dominance over NWAACC competition with a 7-2 home victory over Green River Community College on April 26 at Robinswood Tennis Center. For the current crop of Bulldog players, it brings their record to 6-0, but it also marks the 44th consecutive win for the program, a streak which dates back four years to April 28, 2004. Things looked good for the Gators initially, as they claimed a victory in #1 singles, but the Bulldogs depth won through, allowing the home team to claim the remaining five singles matches. Bellevue then claimed victory in two of three doubles matches to arrive at the final margin. Bellevue has claimed the past three NWAACC Championships, and head coach Jason Chapman has been named NWAACC coach of the year in each of the team's championship seasons. |
