NWAACC CHAMPIONS

The BCC Women's Tennis team won their fourth consecutive Northern Region Championship and extended the program's four year winning streak to 49 consecutive matches.

BC WOMEN’S TENNIS NETS NWAACC CHAMPIONSHIP FOR 5TH CONSECUTIVE YEAR

The Bellevue Women’s tennis team once again wrapped up a strong season and earned another NWAACC Championship for the fifth straight year!  The three-day tournament, May 15-17, was held at Spokane Falls Community College.

The BC team score of 134 strongly outpaced that of the nearest competitor, Green River, which had a team score of 98. Five out of six top spots in the women’s singles went to Bulldogs #2 Kelsey Mickels, #3 Stephanie Tom, #4 Stella Dwifaradewi, #5 Lauren Heino and #6 Estee Kaskes, while two of the three top spots in women’s doubles went to Bulldogs #2 Hannah Jordt & Stella Dwifaradewi and #3 Rika Matsumoto & Lauren Heino.

WOMEN’S TENNIS WINS BOTH MATCHES 8-1

The women’s tennis team (9-0, 9-2 overall) beat Green River and Skagit Valley 8-1 to finish out the regular season and head into the NWAACC Championship Tournament as the winner of the regular season title.

The Bulldogs were led by #1 singles Hannah Jordt, #2 Kelsey Mickels, #3 Stephanie Tom, #4 Estee Kaskes, #5 Vanessa Estes and #6 won by forfeit. The doubles matches were led by #1 Mickels-Toms, #2 Jordt-Dwifaradewi and the #3 Heino-Adisuwono.

The Bulldogs travel to Spokane to participate in the NWAACC Championship Tournament May 15-17.

WOMEN’S TENNIS WINS 9-0 AGAIN
May 6, 2009

The women’s tennis team (7-0, 7-2 overall) swept Shoreline (1-7) to claim their fourth straight 9-0 victory and keep them in first place, ahead of Green River by one match.

The Bulldogs were led by #1 singles Hannah Jordt, #2 Kelsey Mickels, #3 Stephanie Tom, #4 Lauren Heino. #5 and #6 were forfeit wins. The doubles matches were led by #1 Mickels-Tom, #2 Heino-Rika Matsumoto and the #3 doubles was a forfeit win.

The Bulldogs travel to Auburn to take on Green River (8-1) May 8 at 5:00pm, and will then finish out their regular season in Mt Vernon May 9 against Skagit Valley (2-6) at 12:00pm.

WOMEN’S TENNIS WINS 9-0 IN ALL THREE MATCHES THIS WEEKEND

The women’s tennis team swept Spokane, Treasure Valley, and Skagit Valley in a two-day stretch to boost their league-leading record to 6-0. The Bulldogs' next match will be against Shoreline on May 5.

WOMEN’S TENNIS EARN SECOND STRAIGHT SWEEP
April 14, 2009

The women’s tennis team (2-0, 2-1) swept Shoreline 9-0 April 11 for their second straight sweep of the season. They were led by #1 singles player Hannah Jordt, #2 Stephanie Tom, #3 Kelsey Mickels, #4 Stella Dwifaradewi, #5 Estee Kaskes all earning wins. The doubles teams of #1 Tom-Mickels and #2 Jordt-Dwifaradewi also earned wins. The Bulldogs also got wins in the #6 singles and #3 doubles due to forfeits by Shoreline.

The Bulldogs host undefeated Green River (3-0) April 19 at 10:00am.

TENNIS SEASON OPENER THIS FRIDAY
March 16, 2009

The NWAACC Champion women's tennis season begins defense of their four-year run as consecutive champions this weekend vs. Seattle University. Matches begin at 2:00pm at Robinswood Tennis Center, located across from Bellevue's campus. The original season opener was slated for this past Sunday, however the matches were cancelled by the visiting team, College of Idaho.
