Bellevue Softball Makes NWAACC Pre-Season Coaches Poll

The Bellevue softball team landed on the pre-season coaches' poll at the #8 spot.  The Bulldogs have been ranked in the top 8 in every NWAACC coaches' poll since the end of the 2005 season – the first season under current Head Coach Leah Francis.  Prior to the 2005 season, the Bulldogs had never been ranked among the top 8.

“Being ranked to start the season is indicative of the type of success we had last year and a testament to the effort put forth by the players, “ said Francis.  “Since I have been here, our goal has been to develop the softball program at Bellevue into one of the premier community college programs in the northwest.  We have a lot of work ahead of us to maintain the level of success we have enjoyed over the past four seasons but being continuously ranked by the coaches proves we are moving in the right direction!”

The Bulldog softball program opens the 2009 season March 10 at Highline Community College.
