MEN'S SOCCER COACHING STAFF

The Bellevue College athletic department welcomes Andrew Croft as their new men’s soccer coach effective December 21, 2012. Croft will begin his duties immediately, with the 2013 letter of intent period opening up shortly.
Croft brings a resume with a background that directly reflects the new NWAACC creed of “Character-Competition-Community”. Croft has a strong community involvement, as he is the founder and president of PlayUp, a non-profit organization which offers soccer-based life-skills, training, and mentor programs, all based on a curriculum designed to improve chances for success throughout life for urban youth around the world. Croft’s vision, not only with PlayUp, but with his philosophy towards the Bellevue College soccer program, is to be a coach who is not just a purveyor of certain skills, but a mentor as well to help develop a one’s ability to make powerful, positive, and intentional life choices. Croft recently returned from Uganda this past year.
Croft is an eastside product, graduating from Inglemoor HS. He was a First Team All-KingCo 4A goalkeeper for the Vikings, helping them to a third place finish in the state playoffs. Croft then served as a captain at Pacific Lutheran University for Coach John Yorke, helping the Lutes to 12-win seasons in both 2005 and 2006. He received his B.A. from PLU in 2009. Croft also spent two years directing camps for the Seattle Sounders. His community involvement is also evident with his previous experience as Community Partnership and Events Manager at the Starfire Soccer Complex. Croft is currently also a coach in the Seattle United program.
Croft resides in Seattle and was recently engaged to Tafara Pulse, a Seattle University Athletics Hall of Fame member who has also played for the Seattle Sounders Women for the past eight years.
