MEN'S SOCCER COACHING STAFF
Tao Shen
Head Coach
Bellevue College has hired Tao Shen to direct both the men's and women's soccer programs for 2011-12. Shen, a veteran in the NWAACC ranks, comes to Bellevue from Skagit Valley College, where he was the head coach for both men's and women's programs.
Before becoming the head coach at SVC, he was an assistant coach at Whatcom CC from '07-'09 and at Tacoma CC in '06.
Shen played his collegiate soccer at Concordia University in Portland, OR He also played one year at Spokane CC and helped the team with a third place finish in 2005. Coach Shen played semi-professionally with the Yakima Reds (PDL) and Las Vegas Strikers (MPSL).
Shen earned a doctor of Pharmacy degree from Washington State University and currently works as a pharmacist at Overlake Hospital in Bellevue, WA.
Garen Bedoyan
Assistant Coach
Garen Bedoyan begins his first season as an assistant coach with Bellevue College in both men’s and women’s soccer program. He serves as the lead assistant for the Bulldogs and collaborates with structuring training sessions and making tactical decisions.
Coach Bedoyan earned a Master’s degree in Sports Management in Football Industries at University of Liverpool. He currently holds a National “C” license and continues to work towards in advancing in that arena. He is also the boys Head Coach at Fort Vancouver HS in Vancouver, WA and the Head Coach for both U-16 boys and girls at Vancouver United Timbers SC.
He played his collegiate career at Warner Pacific University (OR) after transferring from Spokane Community College. He was recognized as an All-American Honorable Mention at Warner and NWAACC All-Star at Spokane.
Bedoyan and his wife, Madai recent announced their marriage on July 16th, 2011.
Casey Collins
Assistant Coach
Casey Collins begins his first season as an assistant coach with the Bulldogs men’s soccer program. He is BC’s goalkeepers’ coach and will also focus in areas of recruiting.
Collins is a recent graduate from Evergreen State College where he finished his collegiate career as Team Captain. He also attended and played for Whatcom Community College.
He is a member of the National Champions Kitsap Pumas professional soccer club in Bremerton, WA and also Kitsap Pumas indoor soccer team.
