The Bellevue College Men's basketball team continued their undefeated start to the season with a 106-91 victory over South Puget Sound Community College. The Bulldogs traveled to Olympia to take on the Clippers on December 1, one day after moving up to the third spot in the NWAACC Coaches’ Poll. Bellevue jumped out to an early lead on South Puget Sound thanks to perimeter shooting from Jon Humphrie and strong inside finishing from Laszlo Miller. The Bulldogs led by as many as 26 points in the first half showing a 61-42 half-time lead. The second half saw more life from the Clippers as they cut the Bulldog lead to 11 points. However, the Bulldogs were able to pull out the win despite their lack of defense. Humphrie led six Bulldogs in double figures with 21 points. Rex Nelson and Eric Turner scored 15 and 14 points, respectively. Miller and Keaton Hayenga combined for 25 points, and freshmen Alec Wilson scored 11 points, including with two three-pointers.
Bellevue (4-0 on the season) continues its pre-conference schedule with a game against perennial NWAACC power Clackamas Community College (3-2). This will be the home opener for the Bulldogs as they host Clackamas on Friday, Dec. 9, tip-off at 8 p.m. in the Bellevue College gymnasium.
