HEADLINES GOLF TAKES FIRST IN SEVENTH STRAIGHT MATCH
The BCC Men's Golf team has finished no lower than first place for the seven matches in a row, after tieing Southwestern Oregon Community College for top honors at the CBC Invitational in Richland, WA May 4-5. BCC sophomore Richard Lee was once again near the top of the field, finishing in second place with a two day total of 144. Lee has finished no lower than second in all of BCC's matches so far this season. Bellevue and Southwestern Oregon will square off again May 11-12 when the Bulldogs travel south to compete in the Southwestern Oregon Invitational at Brandon Dunes in Brandon, OR. The match will be the final regular season contest for the Bulldogs, and will give them a chance to test their mettle against the Lakers one more time before the NWAACC Championships May 18-19. Bulldog Golfers in Top Form; Win Sixth Match in a Row Bulldogs Roll; Win a Pair Men's Golf Wins Home Match; Extends Lead in North Richard Lee Wins NWAACC Individual Title The Bellevue Community College Golf team was resurrected in 2006 and will compete during the 2006-07 fall and spring seasons. BCC hopes to field both a Men's and Women's golf team by 2007-08, and has tabbed Kirk Johanson as head coach. The golf teams compete in the NWAACC's North Region, along with Olympic College, Skagit Valley College, and Douglas College of British Columbia. |
