Men's and Women's Golf
Kirk Johansen serves as both the Head Men’s and Women’s Golf Coach at Bellevue College. He was awarded the NWAACC Coach of the Year honor in both 2009 and 2010. Kirk is a long time veteran of the golf business beginning his career as a caddy at Inglewood Country Club at the age of 12. That early dedication to the game paid dividends as Kirk earned the right to play collegiately at Bellevue College and then moved on to the University of Washington. While attending college, Kirk continued to work in the golf industry as an assistant at Jackson Park Golf Course in Seattle and in sales with RedBird Sports. Kirk’s knowledge of the game and passion for people led him to serve as Head Professional at Willows Run Golf Course and to his current role as an Assistant at Glendale Country Club.
In addition to being the Assistant Coach at Bellevue College, Bryan is an assistant professional and instructor at Bear Creek C.C. in Woodinville, WA. Bryan has been teaching and working as an assistant professional for over ten years both locally and in California.
Bryan began golfing when he was 13 and played locally at Interlake HS and then in college at the University of Washington. After winning the Seattle City Amateur in 1997, he turned professional and continued playing multiple mini-tours.
In addition to teaching all levels of players at Bear Creek C.C., Bryan is a Titleist Certified Club Fitter and Staff Professional. Bryan is always continuing his education of the golf swing and coaching, and is a K-Vest Level 2 Certified Instructor as well as a TPI Certified Instructor.
He has worked with many successful high school, college and professional players and is very excited to be a part of the continuing growth and success of the Bellevue College Golf program.
