Bellevue Golf Teams Second at NWAACC Championship
May 25, 2011
The Bulldogs men’s and women’s golf teams traveled east of the mountains to compete in the NWAACC Golf Championship Tournament May 22-23 and were greeted by gusty winds and intermittent rain showers in the normally dry Tri-Cities area. However, both teams managed to battle their way into second place finishes behind interstate rival, Spokane.
Bellevue freshman women’s golfer Alayna Herring took third place in individual play with a two-day score of 163, 11 strokes behind Walla Walla’s Dona Dunovant. Alex Mroz, BC sophomore, also finished in third place individually, with a final score of 145 (74-71) over 36 holes.
GOOD FINISH TO YOUR SEASON, GOLFERS!
