BC Men's & Women's Golf Wrap Up Second In League Standings

At the close of 2010-11 league play, the Bellevue College men’s and women’s golf teams each finished in second place in the standings. Both teams will head to the Tri-Cities May 21 to compete in the NWAACC Golf Championship Tournaments May 22-23.

The final league matches were held May 8-9, at Bandon Dunes, in Bandon, OR, hosted by Southwestern Oregon CC. The anticipated rainy weather was a no-so, allowing for some beautiful, sunny days and good golfing. The BC men’s team finished third at seven strokes behind Spokane, and eight strokes behind winner University of Frasier Valley. Bulldogs Tyler McDougall, Alex Mroz, and KC Chang finished at 4th, 9th, and 10th, respectively. The Bellevue women’s team came in fourth following two days of play, with freshman Alayna Hering holding down 12th place in the tournament.
