Background: Coming off a stellar season in '07 for the NWAACC Champion squad...4-2 with a 0.99 e.r.a...three-year letter-winner at West Seattle HS for Coach Velko Vitalich…finished 8-2 with a 1.61 ERA and 59 strikeouts and only 9 walks for the Wildcats…was named First Team All-Metro 3A pitcher and Metro 3A League MVP and was selected First Team All-State as a pitcher…drafted by the Colorado Rockies in the '06 amateur draft...went 9-1 in summer ball for the Seattle Rainiers Connie Mack and Coach Ryan Luther.
Scouting Report: Projected as one of the top starters in the region...easy arm action with one of the best deliveries on the team...a strike thrower with solid off-speed pitches that are thrown for strikes...pitches in the mid-80's but can peak in the 90 mph range.
Personal: Born July 16, 1988 in Yakima, WA…son of Scott and Jenny Taylor…one brother (Dillon, 17)…chose Bellevue for the good program…heard about the program from David Wainhouse…also considered attending Lewis-Clark State College and University of Washington…greatest baseball thrill was winning 3A league title in 2006…goals are to get stronger and pitch better.
