Bellevue Clinches Region Title; Ends Regular Season Ranked Number One in Final NWAACC Horizon Air Coaches' Poll and #18 Final National Ranking; Wight Named Region MVP

After clinching the North Region title during the final week of league play, Bellevue CC retained their number one ranking in the final poll of the top community colleges in the Pacific Northwest. In addition, the Bulldogs were also ranked 18th nationally by Perfect Game USA, the national scouting agency of amateur baseball.
Bellevue also led the North Region along with Skagit Valley by placing five on the first team all-North Region team as selected by the league's coaches. Jesse Wight was named MVP of the league. Outfielder Justin Lucero, infielder Shane Hoey, and pitchers Brad Reid and Mike Lee were named first teamers. Freshman outfielder Jason Moseby made second team all-North Region.
The Bulldogs open up the NWAACC Championships at Lower Columbia College on Thursday May 24 at 4:35 PM vs. Columbia Basin. |
