The Academic Success Center (ASC) at Bellevue College provides free, high-quality educational resources for all enrolled students. Our services include peer and expert assistance, equipping students to become independent and lifelong learners. How to Use ASC Drop-In Tutoring On Microsoft Teams

Support provided by professional tutors and student tutors for most BC subjects.

Drop-in Tutoring Services

Students can drop-in at any time during a tutor’s scheduled shift to receive help in courses supported by the tutor.

NOTE: If you sign-in or visit the Academic Success Center outside of the published drop-in hours, ASC tutors will not be available to assist you. Tutors are available on a first-come, first-served basis during their scheduled shifts.


Math Lab Tutoring

The Math Lab provides tutoring for students currently enrolled in mathematics courses offered by the BC Mathematics Program.

Math Lab

Support provided by Math Department Faculty, professional tutors, and student tutors. The Math Lab is set up like a study hall, offering a comfortable space where students can focus on their work and ask for help when needed.


Reading and Writing Labs

Peer and professional support for reading and writing. In-person and online options available.

Reading Lab

The Reading Lab provides instruction and resources for reading improvement. Students can drop in or make an appointment for help with any reading assignment.

Writing Lab

Support provided by English Department Faculty, professional tutors, and student tutors. Writing Lab provides support for all curricular (class-based) writing and extracurricular (non-class-based) writing.


Online Tutoring Consortium

The Academic Success Center offers online tutoring and other online resources through a consortium of colleges/universities, including:

  • An Online Writing Lab
  • eQuestions: leave a quick question for tutors
  • Live Tutors in a virtual meeting space
  • Archives of your submitted work
  • A calendar of upcoming tutor shifts
  • A searchable resources repository

Faculty can schedule a class visit to the ASC for an informational session or invite an ASC staff member to present directly in their classroom.

Textbook Lending, Calculator check-out, & Printing

The ASC has a lending library where students can check out textbooks, calculators, headphones, and more! A wireless, student printer is also available for use, and connects to students’ printzone accounts. Stop by the ASC front desk in D204 for more information.
