Text Book:  Putting it Together, A Conversation Management Text

Class Time: 9:30am -11:20am    Start date:  6/23   End date:  8/09

 The goal of this class is to improve your conversation ability.  We will practice:

·         Conversation activities in pairs, small groups and as a whole class

·         Vocabulary 

·         Listening

·         Pronunciation

 

Textbook: Putting it Together, A Conversation Management Text, by Kevin McClure (ISBN: 0-13-128174-7).  We will use the book almost every day in class.  You can buy this book in the BC bookstore in Building B.  It is also available at many bookstores and www.amazon.com as well as other online sources.  If you order your book online, please place the order as soon as possible because it will take a week or so to arrive. 

 

Dictionary Policy: You may bring a dictionary to class if you wish.

 

Homework: There are no grades, tests or required homework in this class, but I will give you optional homework. 

 

Attendance: Students who attend 75% or more of the class will receive a certificate on the last day. 

  

To be successful in this class:

·         Come to class and participate as much as possible. 

·         Ask lots of questions and let me know if you do not understand.

·         Relax and have fun!
