Spring Issue of ARNAZELLA

Arnazella, the Literary Arts magazine of Bellevue College, will not be accepting submissions for Spring publications from September 1, 2009 until February 9, 2010. There will be no spring issues of Arnazella for the academic year 2009-2010

General:
- Work must be original, unpublished, and not currently under submission elsewhere. Arnazella acquires first North American serial rights.
- All submissions must include a brief bio (approximately 25 words)
- All submissions must include name, address, phone number, title of work, and an appropriately sized self-addressed stamped envelope (SASE).
- Unpublished work will be returned ONLY if the submission includes a SASE. Please send an international reply coupon if your submission is from abroad.
- Poetry and prose submissions must be typed (include word count) and of dark enough print to be scanned on a computer.
- Audio recordings must be submitted in CD, MP3 or .wav format.
- Audio recording length should be limited to five minutes for music, seven minutes for spoken word.
- You will receive a note confirming our receipt of your submission. Notification of acceptance will be in May.
- You may submit up to THREE pieces in each of the four categories (see below).
Categories:
Black and White Art
- Photography (maximum size: 8 1/2 x 11)
- Fixed charcoal
- Pen and ink, including cartoons
- Calligraphy
- Photography of sculpture and pottery (give photos and art credit)
- Same as in back & white
- Poetry, haiku
- Short fiction
- One-act plays
- Essays
- Music
- Spoken Word
