Cabaret

book by Joe Masterhoff, lyrics by Fed Ebb, music by John Kander

Aug. 2-5 8pm and Aug 4- 2pm: Stop Gap Theatre             

Berlin, Germany just before WWII.  The audience is seated in the Cabaret.  An American writer meets an English singer, a Jewish Grocer loves a German Landlady,  the Cabaret’s Emcee watches and the Nazis wait

Stirring post Viet Nam drama about a family in South Dakota where the expanse of the mesa and the confines of the deeds of the past collide with tragic results.

Falsettos

Music and lyrics by William Finn, book by James Lapin

Feb. 8, 9, 13, 14, 15, 16 – 8:00 pm, Feb. 16 2:00 pm: Stop Gap Theatre

Marvin is trying to find himself, leave his wife, keep his lover, and be a good Dad.  Add a bar mitzvah, baseball, therapy, AIDS, chess and some gefilte fish to this through sung musical comedy about love and family.

The Importance of Being Earnest

Classic comedy of manners set in 1895 Britain where mistaken identities, forged identities and lost identities combine to confuse and confound two sets of young lovers.

Buried Child

April 10, 11, 12- 8:00 pm: Stop Gap Theatre                                                by Sam Shepard          

A macabre look at a Midwestern family with a dark, terrible secret by one of America’s most important modern playwrights.

Eastside Moving Company

May 8, 9, 10  8:00 pm: Carlson Theatre

Professional, and Faculty choreographers work with BCC dancers all year to create this yearly explosion of dance.

A Little Night Music

May 23, 24, 25, 29, 31, - 8:00 pm, May 30 9:00 pm, May 31 – 2:00 pm: Stop Gap Theatre

A musical look at love and lust where age and class clash in the luscious extravagant world of turn of the (last) century Sweden.  When love has been lost or taken too lightly, sometimes you must laugh and “send in the clowns.”
