The Department of Applied Linguistics and Language (ALL) helps non-native speakers of English obtain the advanced language and cross-cultural skills necessary to achieve their professional and personal goals, beginning with their college careers.

The department was developed in response to the changing demographics of the adult learner on the greater Eastside.

Its curricula consist of core classes in accent modification, oral and written communications and information resources. Classes have been developed based on the bicultural/bilingual strengths and needs of its target population.
