We review all you need to know to get started, and ask that you please take this important first step!

ADVISING GUIDE
It is recommended, if you cannot attend a program information session that you download and read the advising guide thoroughly. This will help orient you to our program, answer many questions and give you an overview of our curriculum.
CURRENT STUDENTS of Bellevue College
If you currently attend Bellevue College, please make arrangements to attend a program information session if you are thinking of switching your major to interior Design.
After first attending an information session, you may schedule an advising appointment with the Program Manager for Interior Design by emailing indes.advisor@bellevucollege.edu.
ONGOING ADVISING for Interior Design Majors
All students should know an Interior Design advisor.
Your first meeting should be with our Program Manger to draft a preliminary educational plan, and to have your transcripts reviewed from another college.
For ongoing advising, we divide students by last name, for future advising you may meet with a faculty member.
If your last name starts with A - F your advisor is Dan Beert
If your last name starts with G - L your advisor is Peter Benarcik
If your last name starts with M - S your advisor is Michael Culpepper
If your last name starts with T – Z your advisor is Connie Wais
RETURNING STUDENTS
If you have been away from Bellevue College or the interior Design program for more then two quarters, please review the degree information carefully as things have changed.
Be advised, that if you are wishing to complete the three-year AA Interior Design curriculum, that degree must be completed by 2013.
Depending on your progress so far in the program, you may or may not be able to finish that degree.

TRANSFER to Bellevue College Interior Design
We welcome students to Bellevue College from other schools. For more information see the main Bellevue College website on Transfer to Bellevue.
Transferring can take some time, you should allow enough time to complete the steps below.
BAA admission is selective. You may NOT transfer directly to the BAA. It is a selective admission degree with eligibility requirements. You must apply by portfolio.
Step Two: You should first read the main page on transferring to Bellevue College, to find out if we can accept transfer credits from your school.. Credits from schools that are NOT regionally accredited may NOT be transferred directly. International Students, you may need to get your transcript translated by an organization that can translate your credits. See the main Bellevue web page on transfer credit review.
Step Three: Is to attend a program information session. The schedule is above. If you cannot attend a session, then you should download and read the advising guide. See the info above.
Step Four: If you are already majoring in Interior Design at another school, then you should email your transcripts, unofficial are fine, to: indes.advisor@bellevuecollege.edu.
Allow the advisor one week to email you back with information on what will transfer, and what classes you can begiin taking at Bellevue College.
Step Five: Register for Classes, follow the steps below to request entry codes as needes. Pay your fees, attend class.
Entry Codes for Interior Design Classes
Certain classes offered each quarter may require entry codes if:
It is a special topic course
You've transferred credits from another college
You are trying to take a course out of sequence because of work or family
You wish to take a lectuure course in the BAA program.
The course number, the class name and the item number.
the quarter you are requesting a code for
why you need the code (you transferred credits or need to take a course out of sequence)
your phone number
your student id number - a code CANNOT be issued without your student ID number.
