DevEd 061 / 062 Classes


The Strategies for Learning English Through Reading and Strategies for Learning English through Grammar and Writing are designed to help high intermediate non-native English speakers with academic intent to:

 

Build reading skills in the areas of comprehension and    vocabulary

Inprove listening and speaking skills with material that is    coordinated with reading content
Improve grammar through editing
Develop writing skills at the sentence and paragraph level    with material that is linked to reading content
Build academic skills to prepare for the English STEPS    classes (ENGL 071 / 072 / 073 / 074) or other college     classes


Developmental Education Classes:

Meet daily Monday through Friday
Day classes
Earn college credit

Students must pay college tuition and buy books and materials. Financial aid available for students who qualify.
Requirements:

Placement by the College English Assessment Test
Enrollment in the Reading Lab for one or two credits

Call the Bellevue College Admissions Office at 425-564-2223, or go to the Student Services Building on campus.
