Do I have to take an assessement test?
If a class has a prerequisite for English or Math and you have
not taken that course, then you will need to take the assessment.
The assessment office will place you into the appropriate class.
Call 425.564.2243 for more information or visit the assessment
website.
Will you review my transcripts?
Educational Planning and Academic Advising will unofficially review
transcripts. However, this service is not guarenteed for the drop-in
hours. You can make an appointment with a Counselor, by calling
425.564.2212. You will need copies of transcripts (unofficial are
ok). This process is still an unofficial credit review. Transcripts
are officially evaluated through the Evaluations office. They can
fully explain the policies and procedures related to credit reviews.
Call 425.564.3106 for more information or visit the Evaluations
website.
When will I know if a school has recieved
my transcripts?
Contact the school you are applying to and ask their admissions
or registration office if they have your transcripts on file.
Will I get registered for classes when
I meet with an Advisor?
You will recieve help in selecting classes, when you meet wtih
an advisor. Once you decide which classes meet your needs, you can
use register
on-line. Meeting with an advisor does not automatically guarentee
you will be registered.
Can I get into classes when the quarter
begins tomorrow?
Advance planning is always the best! If you are a new student it
is possible to begin your planning, before you enroll. That planning
begins with what you want to do. Check out the transfer
planning worksheets and requirements for Professional/Technical
Programs. These outline what classes you can take to fulfill
requirements.
If you are a continuing student, plan to get advised one quarter
in advance; especially if you are a Business Major.
