New Student Assessment, Advising and Registration for Winter 2009

If you are coming to Bellevue College with previouse college experience and have transcripts, follow the below steps.

After you have received your student identification number, follow these next steps:

Step 1: Make an appointment with an academic advisor now so you are prepared to register for classes

 

You will be meeting with a professional academic adivisor who provides an unofficial review of your previous credits and assist with course selection.

Call or come in to make the appointment:

  • If you are a Business major, call 425-564-2311 or go to room A242

  • If you are a Science or Engineering major, call 425-564-2321 or go to room L200

  • For everything else (including all other transfer and professional/technical degrees and programs, general advising and if you are undecided), call, 425-564-2212 or go to B232 (2nd floor of Student Services Building)

Step 2: Prepare for your advising appointment and course selection

  • Bring copies of your unofficial transcripts to your advising appointment

I If you need placement into a Math and/or English course:

  • If you have taken a college level Math and/or English course: Take your transcripts to the Evaluations Office to check for course equivalency and placement. Room B125 (1st floor of the Student Sevices Building)

  • If you have not taken Math and/or English at your other college, you need to take the Bellevue Collge Math and English assessment before meeting with the advisor. Learn more at the Assessment website or go to B132.

Note: Unofficial transcripts are acceptable for advising purposes. After you have registered for classes, submit a request for an official credit review using official transcripts.
