PROGRAM OR CLUB INFORMATION We Care Club
Advisor: Shanika Russell Office Location: B234 Description: The We Care Club was formed by students who care about the less fortunate communities and devastation of the Gulf Coast during Hurricane Katrina. We are actively working towards re-building and fundraising to provide resources to help relieve the working class people in New Orleans. Our future goals are to raise awareness, funds and to contribute service hours. Vision: We are here to implement a group of caring and diverse individuals, who intend to produce change not only in our community but a magnitude of influence that will positive affect the world. Mission: Our short term mission is to fundraise a trip to New Orleans to help rebuild the devastated areas of Louisiana that was hit by the 2005 Hurricane Katrina. Our long term mission is to continue to raise awareness of people who are less fortunate. Goals: We will fundraise by doing garage sale, Bake sale, and a movie screening open to the public. The movie is called requiem in four acts, a documentary produced by spike lee about the devastation of Louisiana. Club Meeting:Monday 12:30 BCC | BUDGET INFORMATION for year 2012-2013 |
