Description: Faculty Liaison: Shairose Gulamani Sgulaman@bcc.ctc.edu (425) 564-2311 Serve, Learn and Lead is a project that connects BCC students and community members and unites them through service to our society. Service learning integrates academic curriculum in the classroom with service activity in the community and emphasizes civic responsibility and critical, reflective thinking. Students enrolled in service learning courses serve a minimum of 15 hours at an agency in need and reflect on how that experience illuminates their learning in a particular classroom. Volunteering in your community? Then, why not try to incorporate that experience as a project for a class. Consult with the Serve, Learn, and Lead staff on how to match your experience with classroom credit.
