But what about the spring? Distance Track is now a club sport at Bellevue Community College. This gives distance runners a chance to compete in the spring, as well as the fall. This is outdoor track and, the first practice for distance track will be March 3rd, 2009 at 3:15 directly outside the gym. For more information contact Karly Wade at Karly.Wade@gmail.com Vision: The vision is to get track and spring running back up at BCC, and have it start as a club. In the future, the club may bring back the BCC Track Team, and give athletes a chance not only to run intercollegiate cross-country as well as club or intercollegiate track. Mission: The purpose of this club will be to encourage running as a healthy activity, and also give those people that want to compete, a chance to push them, and achieve some goals. The priority will be to get as many people as possible out and running, and get a lot of interest to let people regard less of experience to come out and run. Goals: Activities would include, meeting twice a week, and running distances, and a weekends either running track meets or road races. This would let the participants stay healthy and life a wealthy lifestyle, as well as those who want to push themselves to achieve personal goals. Meeting/Practice Times: Distance Track will meet every Tuesday and Thursday at 3:15 in the sports hallway directly outside the gym. | BUDGET INFORMATION for year 2012-2013 |
