CLASS REQUIREMENTS:

  1. 100%  Attendance.  There is so much material presented in the three hours that it is essential that you attend.   Excused absences will be very rare.

  1. Projects must be turned in on time and completed.  Late projects will not be accepted and a “0” will be given, for that particular assignment.  A project is also considered late if the proper copies (I.E. no originals) are not turned in.  A project is late if not on time to class for presentation.

  1. All work must appear professional.  This means EVERYTHING.  Points will be deducted for sloppiness.  All lettering and drafting should be of the highest quality.  Be sure you have all your equipment (including trace and pencil) with you at every class.

  1. There will be verbal presentations during the quarter. These presentations are to be considered on the same level that you would present to a client so dress accordingly and be prepared.  If a verbal presentation is part of the assignment, you must PRESENT in order to hand in the assignment.  NO ASSIGNMENTS WILL BE ACCEPTED IF YOU HAVE NOT PRESENTED IN CLASS.

  1. There will be field trips.  Tardiness or absence for field trips, will result in a five point loss from overall points at end of quarter.

  1. This course will involve criticism.  You will be required to give and receive constructive criticism.

  1. All work must be original to this class and this term.  This course will build on the knowledge you acquired in your previous classes.  School is the time to explore new ideas.

  1. Bring all materials to class and be prepared to work individually, and as small groups.  Class time is your opportunity to work collaboratively as you will in a design firm.  Share your ideas.

  1. Desk crits are for your benefit.  They are to talk about your project not your grade.
