Course Description: The purpose
of this course is to provide you with the tools to consider, discuss, and put
into practice the fundamentals of public speakers, interpersonal communication,
intercultural communication, and group communication.

Informative Speech Outline 50 points
Three homework assignments
(50 pts each) 150

POLICIES
Attendance Policy: Attendance
will be checked daily. Students more
than 10 minutes late will receive an absence for the class. Students
with more than 10 absences, excused or unexcused, will not receive credit for
the course.
Grading Scale:
940-1000= A 730-759= C
900-939= A- 700-729= C-
860-899= B+ 660-699= D+
830-859= B 600-659= D
800-829= B- 0-599= F
760-799= C+
Assignments: Late work will not be permitted! All assignments must be submitted in
class. E-mailed assignments will not be
accepted. Assignments must be stapled.
Plagiarism: Plagiarism is
any of the following: Any representation
of another person’s words or ideas in a manner that makes it seem as if they
were your own, in either oral or written form; Any copying of another person’s
papers or speeches; Any use of another person’s unique phrases or
organizational schemes without making it clear to your audience where those
words or ideas were originated. Students
caught plagiarizing on any level will receive a “0” for that assignment and
will be reported to the Dean of Student Programs. Additionally, students may not submit one
paper for two or more classes. You may
not recycle speeches or papers.
