Course Organization
The course will be presented as a series of eight modules dealing with a progression of musical skills and abilities. Subsequent modules are dependent on those completed previously. Modules must be completed sequentially. Included in each module are quizzes designed to practice the skill introduced in the module. Content for each quiz is given previous to the quiz. Reading beyond the quiz can be detrimental. After quizzes for the first four modules are completed, a Midterm Exam will be taken. This Midterm exam will count one-fourth of the course grade. All information asked on the midterm would have been practiced on the quizzes. After the midterm, a new group of quizzes covering Modules Five to Eight will be completed. The course will culminate in a Final Examination that will count one-fourth of the course grade. The students grade for the course will be based on their performance on the pre-Midterm quizzes, counting one-fourth of the course grade, and the post-Midterm quizzes which count the final fourth of the course grade.
Course Grading
The course grade will be averaged from four parts:
1. Quizzes for Modules One to Four
2. Midterm Exam
3. Quizzes for Modules Five to Eight
4. Final Exam

100 - 90% = A
