CALENDARIO
Spanish 101, Profesor Chapa, Winter Quarter 2004 (subject to change)
This
class calendar (CALENDARIO) is considered part of the class syllabus. Most of the material for each chapter is
listed below, but not all of it. There
will be other information on grammar, vocabulary, etc. typically provided in class sessions that is not
necessarily in your text or other material, so it is to your advantage to
attend every class session. Complete
language and cultural concepts to be studied from Imágenes
is found in the Scope and Sequence section (on page iv, v, vi) of your text which provides
more detail on material.
I would recommend that you review the actual
text chapters prior to beginning each one.
This will give you an overview of each chapter’s objectives and
content. Remember you will be turning in
5 Workbook chapters (and 3 Lab Manuals).
Each Workbook chapter is due on the day of the exam as are three appropriate
Lab Manuals which are to be handed in on exam days before the Final. And,
please be here for scheduled exams; makeup exams are, as a rule, not allowed
and can take up considerable instructor time.
As time permits, we will also use outside readings, music CD’s, film
videos, games, Internet material, and other resources to enrich lessons and
cultural aspects of the course.
