  1. Title Block

    2. Design firm (logo optional), your name, and fictitious address (any size to fit in title block width); place near the top of vertical title block or left of horizontal format title block
    1. An area labeled (1/8” high): “Project”, placed near either top or bottom
In this area, place the project title: “
DETACHED GUEST COTTAGE”, minimum 1/8” high text, (on typical job, address included).
    2. An area labeled (1/8” high): “DESCRIPTION”, placed near sheet number
Description of the drawing type or information included on the sheet (potentially in two or three lines, minimum 1/8” high text):

§         CONSTRUCTION PLAN & ELEVATION DRAWINGS

    1. Areas labeled (1/16” high): “DATE”, “SCALE:”, “DRAWN BY”, placed near “DESCRIPTION” (allow for a single line of 1/8” high text to be placed in each area, that is, the actual date, scale, etc.)
    2. North arrow, in 1/4” to 1/2” circle, labeled “Reference North”. True north may not match the plan orientation exactly; this makes it easier to label directions.
    1. An area labeled “DRAWING NO.” Allow for 1/4” to 1/2” high sheet numbers. Place this at the very bottom right of the title block so it is the first thing seen when the sheets are pulled back to search for the drawing numbers
