THIS CLASS DOES NOT TEACH STAND-UP COMIC TECHNIQUE OR
THEATER GAMES—rather it develops the
student’s basic acting skills through improvisational exercises. The goal of this class is to explore text and
create character through improvisational methods.
EXPECTATIONS:
1.
ATTENDANCE at ALLclasses
on time, dressed appropriately, drug and alcohol free, ready to work with your
exercise prepared. Attendance at all
scheduled rehearsals with your partner is mandatory. Frequent absences from class or rehearsals
will result in the loss of a partner and the inability to complete the
assignment. I will assign another person
to work with a student who has lost their partner or had their partner
removed. (See Performance Class Lateness
Policy Handout & A&H Student Policy on the web.) I will not give a passing grade in the course
if an assignment is missed or you have 8
absences.
2.
